Your insights are spot on! I find that eating has less to do with nutritional needs and more to do with emotional needs.I eat very well but way too much and at the wrong times. Food addictions are the hardest to break.
Yeah, emotions are a huge part of it for me too. I don't really fight it. I know that I'm inevitably going to walk into the kitchen, which is connected to my living room, and look for something to snack on. I've got jars of organic almond butter and a bag of macadamia nuts for this purpose, so at least I don't feel guilty when snacking :)
When you say you eat at the 'wrong times,' what do you mean?
Probably 80% of my food consumption occurs between 7 and 10 pm. I can do well all day but if I don't eat sensibly at 5 pm (which I am rarely able to do) I want to eat something the size of my head at 8 pm.
