I wanted to share a short guided practice to establish what’s called a Presence Anchor. This is a simple way to establish a grounded presence — a safe, easeful or neutral place that you can return to again and again.
When to do this:
At the start of a meditation
Before a meeting or conversation
Before going into any potentially stressful conversation
At multiple times throughout your day when you’ve got stressed or caught up
I often do this at the start of a workshop, coaching session, and before going into a conversation that I know could be heated.
Give a try. When you set it, then make an intention to go back a couple of times in the next hour, just to see how it might shift your experience of the moment.
